Description: The experimental course covers theoretical and experimental topics in protein separations from bacteria and mammals, filtration, tangential flow filtration, clarification, ultrafiltration, diafiltration, sterile filtration, centrifugation, cell break, contaminants, protein refolding and buffers and aseptic filling. Laboratory experiences covers separation using Tangential flow Filtration, centrifugation, Affinity Chromatography, Ion-Exchange Chromatography (IEC), and immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC).
