PROFESSIONAL IN INDUSTRIAL NANOTECHNOLOGY

This program deals with commercial scale production of equipment, verification, and modification of materials at the nanotechnological scale. Students will be offered chemical processes and analyses, electricity and electronics, materials characterization, calibration of equipment for nanotechnological use, optics, sensor systems, logic, and automated (PLC)controls.

The nanotechnology technician will be able to work with scientists and engineers in industries related to manufacture, testing, and integration of nanometer-scale structures. Industries using these personnel include materials science, nanoelectronics, nano mechanics, nanorobotics, nanoscale industrial/medical device manufacturing, nanomaterials, nanofluids. Many industries require technicians such ase electronics/semiconductor industry, aerospace, biotechnology,pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, agriculture, geosciences, military, environment, and national securities.

Educational Format

The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 2 semesters of 16 weeks. Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree. It is desirable to have previous professional experience, post-secondary basic courses and/or be displaced.
