INSTRUMENTATION INDUSTRIAL AND CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN

The Industrial Calibration and Instrumentation Technician program prepares personnel to assist in technological industries. The Program is designed for instrumentation repair and calibration in the industrial and includes the areas of preventive maintenance, mechanics, electronics, electrical systems, magnetism, semiconductor, transistors, thyristors, sensors, optic, electrical generator, trouble shooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, diagrams-schemes, sensors, optic, validation, HVAC, trouble shooting, problem identification, automated systems (PLC), mechanical and equipment adjustment. The program provides the
acknowledgment to request the licences in Electronic Technician (Instrumentation) and/or Expert Electrician (“perito”).

Technicians should have knowledge in different facets of instrumentation, calibration and troubleshooting including thermal process, pressure/vacuum gauges, sensors, electrical, mechanical, and other instruments. The program prepares students to work at the industrial instrumentation technician level in different industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, gases, aerospace, electronics, sensors, and mechanics.

Educational Format

The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 3 semesters of 16weeks.Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree.
