The course reviews basic organic and biochemistry with emphasis in secondary metabolism and biodegradation of different organic compounds. It covers bioremediation of soil, ground waters and air. It’s relates the biotic and abiotic factors, biogeochemical factors, microbiological communities, successions, genetics and environmental biotechnology. The course in addition covers diverse practical techniques and use of different instrumentation in bioremediation.
