EVIRONMENTAL FORENSIC PROFESSIONAL
Environmental forensics deals with investigation and application of scientific techniques to identify the sources of contaminants in plants, animals, soil, and water resources, with hazardous waste and its bio-transformations. The program in addition deals with hazardous chemical compounds, forensic toxicology, management of endangered threatened and sensitive species,transport, and dispersion of chemical substances in soil, water, and air.

The environmental forensic investigation technician will be prepared to work with state, federal and consulting agencies that require evaluation of environmental crimes such as i) recognition, collection, identification and examination of criminal physical evidence from the environmental crime scene, taking into consideration the damage to flora, fauna, soil, water and air, ii) uses scientific principles to explain and interpret the evidence in legal proceedings when contamination by hazardous waste to bodies of water, soil, air and irreversible damage to plants and animals occurs negligently animals. Educational Format
The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 2 semesters of 16 weeks.
Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree. It is desirable to have previous professional experience, post-secondary basic courses and/or be displaced.
