PROFESSIONAL IN ENVIRONMENTAL BIOTECNOLOGY
The program is designed with environmental biotechnology knowledge, it contains courses on environmental microbiology, wildlife, molecular biotechnology, biotransformation of harmful organic molecules, contaminant waste, soil and water analysis,groundwater transport, and collection of samples for analysis. Students will have knowledge of soil, air, sample collection and analysis. Emphasis is placed on the processes of biotransformation and bioremediation.

Environmental biotechnology technologist works with scientists and engineering in the use and regulation of biological systems for remediation of contaminated environments (land, air, water), and for environment-friendly processes as bioremediation, green manufacturing, and sustainable development. Jobs are available in local, federal agencies, agriculture as well as industrial processes.
Educational Format
The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 2 semesters of 16 weeks.
Requirements
Have completed High School or a higher degree. It is desirable to have previous professional experience, post-secondary basic courses and/or be displaced.
