The professional in instrumentation in biotechnology will be trained to work in electricity and mechanics including calibration, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, problem identification, sensors, automatization (PLC), hydraulics, pneumatics, corrective actions to repair laboratory and industrial equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, and others equipment.
Source of jobs: The program allows the technician to work in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical, agricultural, chemical, and medical device industries as an electrical-mechanical technician. Including instrumentation, calibration repair in sophisticated industrial equipment. You can work in installation, calibration, mechanics, electricity, maintenance, troubleshooting, validation, pneumatic, hydraulic, automatization, PLC’s and repair of bioreactors, centrifuges, homogenizers, protein purification systems, ultrafiltration, among others.
Educational Format: The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 2 semesters of 16 weeks.
Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree. It is desirable to have previous professional experience, post-secondary basic courses and/or be displaced.
