THSP759: Therapeutic Medical Device. This course is dedicated to the study of biomedical equipment used for therapeutic purposes. It examines a diverse array of devices that play a vital role in patient treatment and care.

Cardiac Pacemakers and Defibrillation. A key focus of the course is on cardiac pacemakers, which are used to regulate heart rhythms, and defibrillation equipment, which delivers controlled electrical shocks to restore normal heart function during life-threatening arrhythmia.

Surgical Equipment and Laser Applications. The curriculum covers essential surgery equipment and explores the use of lasers within the biomedical field. Laser technology is applied in various therapeutic procedures, offering precision and effectiveness in medical interventions.

Physiotherapy and Electrotherapy Equipment. Students learn about devices used in physiotherapy and electrotherapy, which are instrumental in rehabilitation and pain management. These therapeutic methods utilize electrical stimulation to promote healing and improve patient outcomes.

Hemodialysis Machines and Lithotripters. The course includes an overview of hemodialysis machines, which are critical for patients with kidney failure, and lithotripters, which use shock waves to break up kidney stones noninvasively.

Radiotherapy Equipment and Automatic Drug Delivery Systems. Finally, the course examines radiotherapy equipment, which is used in cancer treatment, and automatic drug delivery systems, which ensure precise administration of medications to patients.
