PROFESSIONAL IN BIOMEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION AND CALIBRATION
The Biomedical Calibration and Instrumentation program prepares interested students to assist in the health, hospital, clinic, pharmaceutical, medical device industries, as well as other types of related industries. The program is designed to calibrate biomedical instrumentation and perform in the areas of biomechanics, interaction with biomaterials, functional biomechanics,therapeutic devices, preventive maintenance, electronics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, problem identification, mechanics, and automated systems (PLC).

Technicians should have knowledge in different facets of instrumentation, calibration and troubleshooting including thermal process, pressure/vacuum gauges, sensors, electrical, mechanical, and other instruments. The program prepares students to work at the medical instrumentation technician level in different industries such as biotechnology,pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, gases, electronics, sensors, and mechanics.
Educational Format
The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 2 semesters of 16 weeks.
Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree. It is desirable to have previous professional experience, post-secondary basic courses and/or be displaced.

Program face-to-face: Classes at IBI or Hybrid Program Online: once the program begins, you will have a professor assigned with your email to direct you through the courses,username, and password.
