PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNICIAN

The industrial pharmaceutical program focuses on the three principal manufacture products, solid, semi-solid and parental (liquid) doses. It included cleaning, aseptic techniques, gowning, sanitation, biology, environmental industrial microbiology, chemistry, mathematics, with the technological development of bioreactors, instrumentation, electricity, electronic, calibration, preventive maintenance, mechanics so the students can develop skills in pharmaceutical processes and packing. In addition, the program will address the topics of good manufacturing practices (GMP), validations and the regulations that apply.

The technician will be skilled in different areas of operations at the manufacturing level in pharmaceutical industries in the areas of solid doses (pills), semi-solid doses (ointments, suppositories, creams) and parenteral or liquid doses.Pharmaceutical equipment such as dispensers, sieves, granulators, grinding, mixing, compressors, tablet coating, aseptic techniques, validation, and regulations of the industries. In addition, the Technician will be prepared to work in the biotechnological, agricultural, chemical, and medical device industries.

Educational Format

The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 3 semesters of 16 weeks.
Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree.
