The pharmaceutical program with electricity and mechanics emphasizes knowledge and skills in the manufacture process of solid, parenteral (liquid) and semisolid products with the support technology of instrumentation, calibration, electricity, electronic, semiconductor, transistors, thyristors, magnetism,sensors, pneumatic, hydraulic, preventive maintenance, mechanics, plant design, trouble shooting, automatization (PLC), bioprocesses and aseptically processes. The program offers the fundamental acknowledgement of biology, chemistry, mathematics. In addition, the program will address the topics of good manufacturing practices (GMP), validations, and the regulations that apply. The program provides the acknowledgment to request the licences in Electronic Technician (Instrumentation) and/or Expert Electrician (perito”).

The program allows to work in pharmaceutical industries as Electrical-Mechanic technician including instrumentation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, validation, pneumatic, hydraulic, automatization, PLC’s, and repair at the manufacturing level in areas of solid doses (pills), semi-solid doses (ointments, suppositories, creams) and parenteral (liquid doses). In addition, the preparation allows the technician to work in the biotechnological, agricultural, chemical, and medical device industries.
Educational Format
The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 3 semesters of 16 weeks. Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree.
