ENVIRONMENTAL BIOTECHNOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN

The program contains basic knowledge in biology, chemistry, and mathematics. It contains courses on wildlife, microbiology, biotransformation of harmful organic molecules, soil and water results and analysis, groundwater transport, and collection of samples for analysis. Graduates will be able to help scientists who are working in areas of environmental atmospheric and ground dispersion, biotechnology with an emphasis on the use of biotransformation in solid and wastewater, bioremediation processes, regulations, and risk assessment.

Environmental biotechnology technologist works with scientists and engineering in the use and regulation of biological systems for remediation of contaminated environments (land, air, water), and for environment-friendly processes as bioremediation, green manufacturing, and sustainable development. Jobs are available in local, federal agencies, agriculture as well as industrial processes.
Educational Format

The format of the IBI diploma programs consists of 3 semesters of 16 weeks.
Requirements: Have completed High School or a higher degree.
